Cooking time - 6 minutes
Grated Ash gourd - 1/3 cup
Sugar - 3 tsp
Water - 1 1/2 tsp
Ghee - 1/4 to 1/2 tsp
Cardamom - a pinch
Cashews - 1 or 2 (Optional)
- Keep grated ash gourd for 1 or 2 minutes in microwave. Keep it aside.
- Mix sugar, cardamom and water. Keep it for 2 or 3 minutes or until get single string consistency.
- Add any food color and microwaved ash gourd. Keep it for 2 minutes and stir between every one minute.
- Add ghee and keep it for 30 seconds. If you wish, you can add ghee roasted cashews to the halwa.
- Serve it to your kid.
